Zyon Guiles was the South Carolina Gamecocks’ top priority in the 2026 class. His commitment isn’t just a win for head coach Shane Beamer and offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley—it’s a tidal wave of momentum for the Gamecocks as they charge into what should be a very active summer.

Gamecocks Land 2026 Star Zyon Guiles
Carvers Bay High School four-star announced his commitment to the Gamecocks on Friday, March 21, during a ceremony at his high school. The in-state lineman chose South Carolina over the Clemson Tigers, Tennessee Titans, Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, and Florida State Seminoles.
The 6’5”, 285-pound recruit picked up an offer from the Gamecocks on June 5, 2024. He attended a game day visit for the Tigers game on Nov. 17, 2024, which the Gamecocks won 34-30. The offensive lineman made another trip to the program in January and was in regular contact with HC Beamer.
Ultimately, South Carolina secured his commitment for reasons far beyond the game.
“Out of a 10, it was a 10… One of the hardest decisions a young man will have to make,” Guiles said. “The development of me, how they’re gonna take care of me and my family, it made my parents feel comfortable. It’s a place they can leave me to become a better man, not just a football player, but person overall.”
The On3 Industry Ranking, which combines data from the four major recruiting services, lists Guiles as the 129th overall prospect nationally. He is also the second-best player in South Carolina and ranks seventh among interior offensive linemen in the country.

He is the sixth verbal commitment in the Gamecocks 2026 class, joining TE Jamel Howse, DB Peyton Dyer, LB Keenan Britt, OL Anthony Baxter, and DB J’Zavien Currence as pledges to Beamer’s program.
