The Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas will be hosting the FIU Golden Panthers and the UTSA Roadrunners on Friday night, as one of the AAC’s top teams take on one of Conference USA’s top teams after failing to make it to the CFP. Both teams have plenty to prove as they head to this bowl game.
As with every bowl game, the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl will be affected by injuries and a few players opting out to declare for the NFL draft or enter the transfer portal. Here’s a look at who will be out on Friday:

- QB Keyone Jenkins: Injured, Questionable (groin)
Golden Panthers RG Antonio Tripp is expected to enter the transfer portal, but he has been listed on the depth chart and will play in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl on Friday. Meanwhile, starting QB Joe Pesansky and backup QB Keyone Jenkins are both injured but could play. Had the game been a week earlier, third-string quarterback Clayton Dees would have been the one to start.

Roadrunners head coach Jeff Traylor has admitted that his team will “be a shell of themselves” when they head to the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl on Friday, as multiple starters on defense are either injured or have opted out. LT Kamar Missouri and LB Shad Banks Jr. are potential opt-outs but are expected to play.
