Ohio State head coach Ryan Day’ son RJ Day decided to make his own path and decided to not play for his dad.
Instead, RJ chose to commit to Northwestern over USF and Purdue, which were the two of his other potential landing spots.
Ryan Day’s son plays the quarterback position and belongs to the class of 2027, he is around 6’0 ft tall and weighs 207 pounds.
RJ Day also received offers from Schools like Cincinnati, Syracuse and Boston college.
“Obviously Congratulations to RJ Day, but man. Why would you choose a school where you have to play your dad and OSU.” One fan reacted.
“The fact that retards in the comments are saying Ohio St got lockered 😂😂😂 or Some other dumb sh*t …. Tell everyone you’re retarded if you want.Is the kid supposed to come to Ohio St and sit the bench for 4 years just because of his dad???Yall need to get a life.” Another fan said.
“Ryan day trusts no one more than Chip Kelly and Chip Kelly is the OC at northwestern so this is not shocking he’ll get a good education and I’m sure Ryan day is ok with him getting coached by someone else.” Another fan shared their thoughts.
“I like this move alot and more coaches especially Dabo need to follow this. If your son is talented enough he can play wherever he wants. As much as I hate Ryan Day, I respect him for this move and not allowing nepotism to take over OSU.” another fan commented.
“Interesting choice. Not sure I would want to play against my Dads team. Could make for some awkward holidays in the Day house 😂. #GoBucks🌰” another fan added.
”OSU can’t even recruit a family member.” Another fan pointed out.
