Brooke Nuneviller revealed her team, the Omaha Supernovas’ goal for the 2026 volleyball season. She opened her season at the Major League Volleyball, which commenced on January 8.
The Supernovas have started the new season on a remarkable note. They won their first two matches against San Diego Mojo and Columbus Fury. They earned a 3-0 sweep against Mojo at the CHI Health Center and experienced a heated clash with Fury on January 10 at the Nationwide Arena. After winning the first two sets, Omaha lost the third. They gained their momentum back in the fourth round, earning a 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 24-26, 25-23) win.
They are currently gearing up for their next match, and amid this, Nuneviller has made the team’s goal clear for the season during an interview with Hurrdat Sports.
Revealing her team’s goal of winning the national championship title, she opened up about how they are going to achieve it.
“I think we walked in day one, and Luca asked us what our goals were and naturally, the first thing that comes up is winning a national championship and winning the whole thing and a million-dollar match, all that. Then we got that out of the way, and he said, all right, perfect. That’s established. We don’t need to ever talk about that. I think like when that’s something that you talk about every single day like this, pressure just gets built up,” said Brooke Nuneviller.
She added:
“That’s just the expectation and the standard that we have, and every single one of us knows that. And I think every day we’re just coming in the gym, and we want to get a little better every day. We want to work together, we want to stay positive. We want to play with so much gratitude and passion. And I think if we do that, then that’ll allow that goal to be just tangible with the end of the year.”
The Omaha Supernovas’ outside hitter had a notable 2025 season, having won the PVF Outside Hitter of the Year honors. She was ranked fourth in the league with 381 kills.
When Brooke Nuneviller Made Her Feelings Known About Playing Pro Volleyball in the US
In May last year, Brook Nuneviller shared her thoughts on the opportunity to play pro volleyball in the US. She and her team advanced to the semifinals of the Pro Volleyball Federation 2025, where they faced Indy Ignite. After a thrilling showdown, the latter earned a 25-17, 23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13 win.
This was a remarkable week for Nuneviller, as her family watched her play for the US and also witnessed her receive the Outside Hitter of the Year honor. Making her feelings known about these occurrences, she took to her Instagram story and posted a picture with her family and the award and wrote:
“Such a special weekend having my family be able to watch me play. This is why I am forever grateful for the opportunity to play in the USA ❤️.”
The Omaha Supernovas and Brooke Nuneviller’s next match is slated for January 16 against the Atlanta Vibe at the CHI Health Center.
