Olivia Dunne and her mother, Katherine, recently reacted to the former gymnast’s boyfriend, Paul Skenes, winning the NL Cy Young award. Dunne accompanied Skenes when he was presented the award at an event held on Saturday, January 24, in New York City.
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ player was handed the trophy at the 101st New York Baseball Writers’ Gala at the New York Hilton Midtown, after the award was announced in November 2025. The event featured some of the biggest baseball players and also celebrated the 40th anniversary of the 1986 World Championship team, the New York Mets.
Skenes shared a few glimpses from the night, in one of which he was seen holding the coveted trophy, which had “THE OUTSTANDING NATIONAL LEAGUE PITCHER 2025” written on it.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Skenes wrote:
“Good times!”
Skenes received praise from several fans, two of whom included his girlfriend and her mother. Dunne praised his feat, writing:
“Great success!”
“Well done.”
Paul Skenes was awarded the NL Cy Young award a year after he won the Rookie of the Year award. He won the recent feat after he was unanimously voted as the top pitcher in the NL by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
To receive the award, he opted for a brown bow-tie tuxedo, which he paired with a black ring and a brown watch. His shirt’s cuff featured a special detail with “Cy Young” written on it. Along with Skenes, Drake Baldwin was presented with the NL Rookie of the Year award, and Shohei Ohtani with the NL MVP.

Olivia Dunne accompanied her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, in New York as he accepted the 2025 NL Cy Young Award. Skenes received the award and became the third Pirate to do it after Vern Law in 1960 and Doug Drabek in 1990.
Dunne was seen stealing the spotlight in a fire-red off-shoulder dress. She shared a few glimpses of the night on Instagram and wrote:
“Winner winner cy young dinner!!! @mlb.”
Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes met at the LSU campus in 2023, the year Skenes won the national championship with the Tigers.
