“Narcissists” – Fans Call Out “Christ Is King” Wrestlers for Preaching Faith While Rejecting Free Clinic Offer for Underprivileged Kids

National champion Christ is King wrestlers, preaching the Christian faith in the open, have recently received heat from fans online, as some of the athletes rejected a free wrestling clinic for underprivileged kids in their area.

Many wrestlers, including current and former national champions, have often made their love of Christian faith public and spoken in great detail about how it has transformed their lives and helped them shape their game.

Former NCAA All-American Dylan Palacio had recently put forth an offer to many of the “Christ is King” wrestlers for a free wrestling clinic program. However, Palacio says none of the recipients agreed to his free terms and instead countered it with a two-hour instructional workshop.

Fans called this out, highlighting double standards.

    One user wrote:

“Christ is king athletes are all narcissists.”

    Another user wrote:

“‘Help thy neighbors,’ people when being asked to help their neighbors.”

    Someone wrote:

    “lol 7500 is insane.”

    Another reaction:

“Hypocrites and fake Christians. All of them.”

    One user commented:

“They only ‘Jesus trained’ because they are paid to say it. NIL money.”

    Another user commented:

“What is with the commenters not getting this, a core christian moral is to give to the poor and needy, and when called upon these as***les are being greedy instead. if this guy needed a guitar workshop and ask dolly parton, SHE would say YES, FOR FREE! THAT’S a christian.”

Dylan Palacio, with his L40 wrestling foundation, has opened the gates to many underprivileged kids, but has been a strong opponent to people practicing the Christian faith despite living contrary to it.

Christ is King Champion Josh Barr Talks about His Faith

Penn State’s Josh Barr was recently crowned the NCAA champion after he beat Cody Merrill at 197 lbs. During his post-fight conference, Barr highlighted his Christian faith and mentioned that he is here to serve his faith.

“I am grateful for my lord Jesus Christ and got a Deja vu, I remember being so grateful that I got to compete and remember that moment and grateful to the lord for blessing me with the talents that he has,” he said (0:19).

Many NCAA wrestlers have attributed their success to their faith and, despite the frequent online backlash, have managed to hold it strong throughout.
