The Minnesota Wild have made a solid comeback in their Round 2 series against the Colorado Avalanche. After dropping two games in Colorado, the Wild made a strong return home, winning Game 3 by a total score of 5-1.

With Minnesota’s return, Game 4 has generated a lot of excitement among fans. With it taking place at the Grand Casino Arena, the Wild will have a significant home ice advantage, which might help them tie the series against the Avalanche. The fourth faceoff between the two teams is all set to take place on Monday, May 11, at 8 p.m. ET. This game is predicted to draw 17,000 fans to the arena.

On the other hand, for the fans who are looking forward to watching the game at home, here are the channels that will air it:

    • TV Channel: ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2
    • Streaming Platforms: DIRECTV, Fubo, ESPN App, Hulu, and Max

During the first two games at their home arena, the Avalanche dominated pretty hard. Both were high-scoring games for both sides, with Game 1 ending with a total score of 9-6 and Game 2 ending with a total score of 5-2 in Colorado’s favor. Interestingly, they were on a six-game winning streak before their Round 2 Game 3, but the Wild countered it admirably.

Kirill Kaprizov was Minnesota’s major contributor in this game, finishing with one goal and two assists for a three-point total. Aside from him, the team’s defense was also pretty strong, with goalie Jesper Wallstedt making 35 stops in this game.

Following the big victory, Minnesota’s head coach, John Hynes, spoke about Kirill Kaprizov, alleging that he was overly concentrated on his game. Hynes also mentioned how Kaprizov’s face-off against the Avalanche showed the areas where the Wild need to improve in the 2026 NHL Playoffs.

According to the NHL’s official website, Hynes stated,

“I thought Kirill was extremely competitive tonight and was on his game. It was good to see. When he does that, you can see the type of impact he has on the game. I think he was indicative of the team that we knew we had to be better in certain areas, but as I said to you guys over the last couple of days, there are lots of things we did like in the first couple of games we just didn’t get rewarded for it, and tonight we were able to do that.”

The HC also stated that Game 3 was incredibly competitive for them and was undoubtedly a hard-fought battle. He later added,

“Hard-fought game, both teams were extremely competitive, but it’s more indicative of that’s the style of game that gives us the best chance to win.”

Game 4 is expected to be another pivotal game for Minnesota, as another loss might send them to the brink of elimination.
