    Who is Fernando Mendoza’s Aunt?

According to a Jan. 22 report by Sports Illustrated, Fernando Mendoza’s aunt is Ena Espino Pereda. Pereda has a relatively conventional job and works in commercial real estate. In a Jan. 2 Instagram post by Brickell Magazine, Pareda explained her work ethic, a quality that appears to run in the family with Mendoza.

“With extensive market knowledge and strong negotiation skills, I consistently achieve the best outcomes for both buyers and sellers,” she said. “I stay ahead of industry trends and technologies, giving my clients a real advantage through innovative tools and data-driven insights. Above all, my work ethic, attention to detail, and transparent communication ensure a level of trust and results that truly exceed expectations.”

Pereda resides in Miami and was born and raised in Coral Gables in southern Miami, near the southern tip of Florida. She carries a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Fine Arts after studying at the University of Miami and Universidad de Salamanca.

Who is in Fernando Mendoza’s Immediate Family?

Fernando Mendoza’s aunt isn’t Mendoza’s only family member. Mendoza’s mother, Elsa and father, Fernando Mendoza Sr., are in the picture. Elsa has Multiple Sclerosis.

Both Elsa and Mendoza Sr. were college athletes. Mendoza Sr. rowed at Brown University while Else played Tennis at the University of Miami. Before college, Mendoza Sr. attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, the same high school as Miami Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal.

Mendoza has two brothers and is the oldest of the three, per a Jan. 19 Town & Country report. Alberto, his brother, is also a quarterback for the Hoosiers. With Fernando departing, Alberto will seemingly have at least some chance to follow up on his brother in Indiana if he wants the opportunity.
