Is Ty Johnson Playing Today vs. Jaguars?

Ty Johnson is suffering from an ankle injury, which he sustained in the final regular-season game. Bills head coach Sean McDermott labeled the running back day-to-day. He also missed practices ahead of the wild-card game.

“(We’ll) take a hard look at him today and see how he does,” McDermott said. “We’ll know more after practice.”

He returned as a limited participant in the final practice, thereby earning a questionable tag. He is a change-of-pace and third-down back behind starter James Cook.

In the Bills’ official injury report, players who have been ruled out of the game are LB Terrel Bernard (calf), CB Maxwell Hairston (ankle) and safety Damar Hamlin (pectoral, IR).

Among questionable players, apart from Ty Johnson, wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle), kicker Matt Prater (right quad) and linebacker Shaq Thompson (neck) also carry the same designation.

“Thought he did some good things yesterday,” McDermott said of Prater. “We’ll see where and how he trends heading into the weekend.”

“We’ll see where it goes for the game,” McDermott said of the WR.

“He should be good,” McDermott said of the veteran linebacker. “He’s dealing with some bumps and bruises…Nothing really of a setback just managing his practice today.”

    What Happened to Ty Johnson?
