“Take The Job”: John Harbaugh Head Coaching Rumors Heat Up As Donald Trump Pushes For $10.1Bn Franchise

The US President is pleading with a certain NFL franchise to hire John Harbaugh, a proven head coach, who is a free agent heading into 2026. On Saturday, Jan. 10, NFL reporter Armando Salguero uploaded a report on his X/Twitter, showcasing the brief statement made by Donald J. Trump through his social media account.

In his statement, the 79-year-old politician is actually calling on the New York Giants, who have a net worth of $10.1 billion, per Forbes, to hire the former Baltimore Ravens tactician, John Harbaugh, as their new head coach for the 2026 campaign. For Trump, he is co-signing Harbaugh, without hesitation, as he believes the 63-year-old can direct the Giants franchise into a new direction.

“The New York football Giants should hire, without question, John Harbaugh, and John, a great guy, should TAKE THE JOB!!! President DJT,” Trump wrote.

As it stands, however, Mike Kafka is the current interim coach of the Giants. He assumed the role when the franchise fired Brian Daboll almost eight weeks ago. Thus, Kafka himself can also be a candidate for the head coaching role of the New York-based team. But the co-signing of Trump towards Harbaugh may bolster the latter’s case with the Giants.

Harbaugh was fired on Tuesday, Jan. 6, by the Ravens after the team finished with an overall record of 8-9, placing them as the second seed in the AFC North. They did not make the playoffs. Baltimore is also in search of its next shot-caller now in the offseason.
