While the rest of New York City was celebrating the New York Knicks’ NBA Finals win, the World Cup was happening across the river in New Jersey, and Tom Brady was there to watch it. The Las Vegas Raiders co-owner was in attendance for the Morocco vs. Brazil game, and the seven-time Super Bowl winner made it clear which team he was rooting for.

He was there at MetLife Stadium as one of the celebrity ambassadors for the tournament and was dapping it up with other celebrities, including Brazil football legend Neymar Jr. and rapper Travis Scott.

While there was a ton of hype surrounding Brazil for this World Cup, the Seleção failed to penetrate that suffocating Moroccan defense, with the opening game ending in a 1-1 draw over at New Jersey.
As to why he was rooting for Brazil, his children are half-Brazilian. He was married to Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen and had two children together, and while he is not Brazilian himself, he was rooting for the Seleção with his kids, especially as his daughter, Vivian, was there to cheer the Brazilians on.
As for the man he was dapping up ahead of the game, Neymar Jr., he missed the opener as he was dealing with a calf injury. He is currently the team’s leading goal scorer but has failed to end Brazil’s long World Cup drought despite all the talent in their team.
Tom Brady Went Viral After Showing Off His Gameday Fit With Daughter Vivian
While Tom Brady has been divorced from Gisele Bundchen for a few years now, the ex-couple has remained friendly with one another, with shared custody of their kids. Their kids are also quite proud of their Brazilian heritage, and when the World Cup came along, Brady, who considers himself a girl dad, came in matching Brazil jerseys with his daughter.
This surprised many as Brazil has a deal with the Jordan Brand, which means that the national team jersey that he is wearing is under the Nike umbrella, and Nike is the competitor of Under Armour, which previously sponsored Brady. The NFL legend is not with the company now, but him wearing a competing brand is very surprising for many.
