While the Buffalo Bills are commonly seen wearing their traditional all-blue jersey with white and red numbering, the 2026 NFL season will feature them donning a new alternate colorway in a few of their special matchups.
Leaning into the “Nickel City” theme, the Buffalo-based franchise on Monday unveiled its new alternate jersey ahead of the 2026 campaign. The all-grey uniform, combined with blue lettering with a hint of red and white, has caught the eye of a lot of NFL fans online.
Reacting to the Bills’ latest jersey release, it’s safe to say that a plethora of fans on X did not approve of the new look.
“No hating, but these are horrendous,” a fan wrote.
However, a certain section of the fanbase also liked the Buffalo Bills’ new alternate uniform.
According to the franchise’s official press release, the “Nickel City” theme is an homage to the strength, grit, and authenticity showcased by the hard-working western New York Samaritans throughout history.
What Did the Buffalo Bills’ Alternate Uniform Look Like in 2025?
Last season, the Buffalo Bills opted for a frosty look for their alternate uniform as they released the “cold front” line of jerseys in collaboration with Nike for their divisional matchups.
Representing the Buffalo winter, the color red, which supposedly signifies heat, was completely stripped away from their alternate kit, as the Bills donned an all-white jersey with silver lettering bordered by blue.
