Taylor Swift and her family must have been ecstatic on Friday as the wedding of her dreams came true at Madison Square Garden in New York City, as she tied the knot with Travis Kelce. However, there was some sad news on the way for the Swift family as a close family friend reportedly died on the same day.
The Telegraph is reporting that Taylor Swift’s favorite teacher, Kirk Schwabe, died on the same day as the wedding, after a hard battle with cancer. Schwabe taught Taylor criminal justice from 2004 to 2006, before becoming a close friend of the Swift family and ultimately joining Taylor on her journey to superstardom by becoming her personal security guard in 2009.
Fans were quick to pay their condolences and reacted to the news.

The report goes on to highlight that despite the close bond between Taylor Swift and Kirk Schwabe, the latter parted ways with the superstar because he was burned out after working long hours with Taylor.
Nevertheless, Schwabe still had a lot of love for Taylor Swift and her family, and even approved of the marriage with Travis Kelce, believing she had impeccable judgment. Sadly for Swift, Schwabe could not make it to the wedding and reportedly passed away on the very same day.
