Terrion Arnold Could Face Life In Prison After Arrest On Armed Robbery And Kidnapping Charges

Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was arrested on Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery and kidnapping that occurred in Florida earlier this year.

The arrest was made by the Tampa Bay Police Department on Wednesday night, and the cornerback is facing four counts of armed robbery and four counts of kidnapping.

The Hillsborough State Attorney shared a statement on Instagram after the arrest, saying Arnold “faces multiple felony charges, which carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison.”

“No one has the right to take the law into their own hands. A dispute over missing property does not justify kidnapping, violence, or retaliation. This arrest is the result of months of investigative work and collaboration between the Tampa Police Department and our prosecutors,” said State Attorney Suzy Lopez.

According to reports, Arnold, 23, is accused of helping lure three people to an apartment where they were allegedly robbed, assaulted, and held at gunpoint.

Furthermore, authorities allege that the entire incident happened because Arnold believed that the victims were responsible for the theft of items amounting to $200,000 from his Airbnb in Tampa Bay.

Terrion Arnold’s Camp Denies Any Involvement in the Incident

Shortly after the news of the arrest spread, Denise White from EAG Sports Management, Arnold’s representatives, issued a statement denying her client’s involvement in the alleged robbery and kidnapping.

“Terrion Arnold categorically denies any involvement in the matters underlying the allegations made against him and maintains his innocence. There is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations.”

“Instead, the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who have admitted their own involvement and may have substantial incentives to shift blame in an effort to lessen their sentences. Mr. Arnold looks forward to his day in court and is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication.”

Per Detroit reporter Dave Birkett, the two defendants in the case pleaded guilty on Wednesday and have agreed to testify in future proceedings.
