The Tennessee Titans have settled on head coach Robert Saleh, allowing the team to move on with the next phase of its coaching search: hiring an offensive coordinator. According to one NFL insider, the team has somewhat narrowed down its options to a handful of names.
Based on the wording of Tom Pelissero in a Thursday X post, Tennessee still has more options and can always pull the plug and start the search from scratch. However, this is where the team stands Thursday.
“The Titans continue to work through offensive coordinator options, with Kliff Kingsbury, Arthur Smith, Brian Daboll, Adam Stenavich and Bobby Slowik among the potential options, per sources,” Pelissero posted. “All have OC experience as Robert Saleh looks for the right man to work with QB Cam Ward.”
Picking the right candidate for the job could be a large hint as to how Cam Ward performs in 2026. As such, Saleh’s first big task could be one of his most important all year long.
Ranking Best Potential Offensive Coordinator Options
Bobby Slowik has previous offensive coordinator experience, but the senior pass game coordinator oversaw Tua Tagovailoa’s nosedive in 2025, so he would have a tough job explaining why his role in the downturn deserves a promotion.
Out of the four names mentioned, one of the names that seems to have the biggest uphill climb would be Adam Stenavich, who is the offensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers. Stenavich doesn’t call the plays in Green Bay, so he would need to switch teams just to call plays, which would make his case for a head coaching position.
Arthur Smith has head coaching experience and knows his way around an offense. In terms of experience, Smith’s resume could get him the offensive coordinator job and help the team sleep soundly.
Kliff Kingsbury has plenty of experience as an offensive coordinator and head coach, plus experience at the college level, which could help him connect with Tennessee’s young offense.
Brian Daboll has been a head coach in the playoffs, giving him the easiest case to make as the best offensive coordinator option for what Tennessee hopes is a playoff season in 2026.
