“What A Joke”: Fans Don’t Hold Back As Shedeur Sanders Snags First Pro Bowl Roster Spot

Shedeur Sanders’ 2025 calendar year got off to a hot start but hit the freezer in April. Sanders has been working to turn the temperature up since, and his hard work appears to have seen its first big dividend.

According to Jordan Schultz via a Monday ESPN Cleveland post on X, the Cleveland Browns quarterback was added to the 2025-26 Pro Bowl roster as a replacement.

“5th rounder to Pro Bowler 🔥,” the post read.

NFL fans raced to give their thoughts, splitting into positive and negative camps. Many were not happy about the change.

“What a joke,” one fan posted.
“This is laughable and can’t be true,” another added.
“The Pro Bowl is a joke if a guy with a QBR of 18 can be a pro bowler,” one argued.
More fans reacted with elation and excitement.
“Folks are mad, but he didn’t nominate himself! But of course, people will hate him when he has nothing to do with being a replacement. Take advantage of it, nephew!” one encouraged.
“Yesssss!!! Let’s GO!!! 💪🏾🔥🔥👀,” another responded.
    “Yes!!!!!” one exclaimed.
In seven starts and eight total games of action, Sanders threw for seven touchdowns, ten interceptions, 1,400 yards, and completed 56.6% of his passes. He finished the year with a 3-4 record with wins over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals and Las Vegas Raiders.

Shedeur Sanders Awaits Fate Ahead Of Potentially Tumultuous Offseason

Shedeur Sanders’ to-do list might have gotten considerably lighter in recent weeks, but there is plenty for the quarterback to think about. The Cleveland Browns are searching for the successor to Kevin Stefanski. Once the team makes its decision, it will be up to Sanders to hope that the head coach will be open to having him back in a starting role.
Otherwise, he will be forced to wait to learn who his competition will be when they arrive in March and April from either free agency or the NFL Draft.
At this point, very little appears to be guaranteed for Sanders heading into 2026. His Pro Bowl inclusion will serve as a boost, but will it be enough to convince the next head coach to believe in him?
