NFL insider Jordan Schultz set social media ablaze with a major scoop on Monday morning. However, it was not an NFL player being traded. Instead, it was Draymond Green opting out of his contract with the Golden State Warriors to become a free agent.
Green, who has been with the Warriors for 13 seasons and won four championships alongside superstar teammate Stephen Curry, declined the final year of his four-year, $100,000,000 contract, which was a player option.
Schultz seemingly dropped the Draymond Green bombshell one minute before highly reputed NBA insider Shams Charania, leading fans to troll the latter on social media. Schultz posted his tweet at 10:03 a.m. ET, while Charania did it at 10:04.

While Draymond will likely not be returning to the Warriors, the four-time NBA champion’s next destination is yet to be revealed.
Draymond Green’s Connection With Jordan Schultz
While Green and Schultz’s professions have nothing in common, they have one common link. The two host a podcast on Fox Sports called “Why Is Draymond Green Talking About Football? with Jordan Schultz.”
The podcast debuted in 2025 and has 24 episodes in total spanning two seasons. It is focused primarily on the NFL, with Green combining his football expertise with Schultz’s insider scoops.
Season Two of the podcast aired its finale on February 5, as it wrapped up with a Super Bowl prediction and discussed the coaching carousel. The show is currently rated 2.6 stars out of 5 on Apple Podcasts.
