The first Monday of May is booked for the biggest fashion event of the year, the Met Gala, which is the fashion world’s Super Bowl.
Artists including designers, directors, actors, singers from all around the world made their stylish and glamorous appearances.
As big names like Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and more walked the red carpet on 4th May, 2026, a few stars from the sports and the NFL world also stole the spotlight.
The Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback, Joe Burrow wore a blue suit that had black detailing on it, and his former teammate, Justin Jefferson kept it classic with a 3 piece black suit.
Jason Whitlock later expressed his frustration with Burrow and Jefferson attending the Met Gala.
“What are Justin Jefferson and Joe Burrow doing at the Met Gala? And gala spelled G-A-Y-L-A. What are they doing here? This is a humiliation ritual. That’s all the Met Gala is. It’s people dressing up in feminine outfits or outrageous outfits. Podcaster Grills Joe Burrow for Acting Like a “D*uchebag”
Joe Burrow has been seen with his GF, Olivia Ponton, various time and was captured walking out of the Met Gala party on Monday, however, Podcasters Ria Ciuffo and Francesca Mariano aren’t happy with the Bengals star’s behaviour towards her.
Ciuffo started her “rant” about Burrow and said she was sick of him acting like he is not dating Ponton, highlighting the fact that he walks 4 feet ahead of her in most pictures and said she hates that.
“By the way, you look like a douchebag. Any man who’s walking that far ahead of you, you look like a doucher. Yeah. Everyone knows you’re dating. We see you out and about all the time. Hold her damn hand. Let her walk first. Open the car door for her. She is always trailing behind. He’s always making her look like a groupie. I know. I hate it.”
Ciuffo further called Burrow’s Met Gala look boring.
