“Seahawks In Shambles”: NFL World Reacts As Vikings Select Seattle Exec As Kwesi-Adofo Mensah Replacement

The Minnesota Vikings made another addition to the team on Saturday as Seattle Assistant General Manager Nolan Teasley took over as the new General Manager. This move comes as part of the roster rebuilding the team has undergone after a 9-8 season in 2025.

Seattle Seahawks GM John Schneider hired Teasley as an intern in 2013, after the former Assistant GM wrote letters to every NFL team, looking for a job interview. Teasley then climbed the ranks in Seattle before eventually landing the GM role in Minnesota.

Shortly after the news was announced, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their opinions on the Vikings’ newest hiring.

One fan pointed out Seattle losing multiple members of its Super Bowl-winning team just months after the championship.

    While another fan commented:

One fan spoke on the Vikings trying to recreate what the Timberwolves did with Tim Connelly after a championship in Denver.

QB Battle Brewing Between JJ McCarthy Speaks And Kyler Murray?

While the front office welcomes a new member, JJ McCarthy set the record straight on his relationship with fellow quarterback Kyler Murray.

The former Arizona Cardinals signal-caller joined the Vikings as a free agent, entering his seventh season in the NFL. McCarthy is set to enter his third season after spending a year on the IR.

When asked about his dynamic with Kyler Murray, McCarthy’s answer caused speculation amongst fans that a quarterback battle might be happening in Minnesota despite McCarthy being the front-runner to be the starter in Week 1. McCarthy claimed:

“It’s just like two guys in a classroom. He sits on one side, I sit on the other side, and it’s the coach’s responsibility to teach us and coach us. Awkwardness? It’s just like the same feeling when you’re in high school, and there’s another person on the other side of the room. That’s just kind of how it is. I wouldn’t say there’s any awkwardness. It’s a true competition.”

The Vikings kick off their season with a home opener against the Green Bay Packers on 13th September, 2026.
