Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially tied the knot at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday. While fans celebrated the wedding, not everyone was impressed by the scale of the occasion.
During a recent episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” columnist and podcaster Maureen Callahan delivered a blunt assessment of Swift. She questioned Swift’s decision to host her wedding at MSG.
“I think Taylor Swift is a malignant narcissist. Only a malignant narcissist mounts her wedding at MSG,” Callahan said.
Callahan continued talking about the extensive media coverage surrounding the ceremony.
“The only thing I can think that might be a head fake is, I think they might already be legally married, secretly legally married, and then this is just like scratching her enormous …,” she added.
Callahan’s comments got mixed reactions from fans, with some agreeing with her and others pushing back on her take.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Attracted Global Attention
Madison Square Garden was transformed into an exclusive venue for the wedding celebration of the couple. The city officials closed nearby streets and implemented severe security measures to keep things under control.
According to reports, the wedding was officiated by actor Adam Sandler, and Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, was her man of honor, while Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside him as best man.
The couple reportedly wore custom Christian Dior outfits designed by Jonathan Anderson, along with Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry.
The guest list included several celebs from sports, music, and Hollywood, including Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran, and more.
Ahead of the ceremony, Swift and Kelce also announced reported donations of $26 million to more than 20 charities.
Although the wedding drew widespread praise from fans celebrating the couple’s milestone, Callahan’s criticism showed us that not everyone viewed the grand-scale celebration positively.
