Nick Sirianni Heard Giving Kyle Shanahan Four-Word Verdict About Playoffs After 49ers Win

Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was recently heard on the broadcast, giving a stamp of approval to the tactician whose team just beat the Eagles in the postseason. On Sunday, Jan. 11, coach Sirianni and his 2025-26 Eagles squad were looking to advance further into the postseason, as they faced coach Kyle Shanahan’s San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card playoffs.

Unfortunately for Sirianni and company, who were playing at home at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, they lost by a mere four-point lead, 23-19. After the defeat, Sirianni was captured in a five-second clip posted by @NFLonFOX on X/Twitter. He was having a word with Shanahan, as the 49ers continue their postseason play, with the chance of winning the championship this year.

“Go win it all, alright? Good job,” Sirianni was heard telling Shanahan.

For Sirianni and the rest of his team, however, their quest for back-to-back Super Bowl titles came to a close after the loss to the 49ers. They were looking to win consecutive championships after they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs by 18 points, 40-22, in their Super Bowl LIX matchup in February last year. The Philadelphia-based franchise now enters the 2026 offseason, finishing with an overall record of 11-7.

Nick Sirianni Asserts That His Team’s Late-Game Lapses Do Not Define His Players’ Skill Level

According to an article written by Tom Ignudo that was published on CBS News, during his post-game interview, coach Nick Sirianni was asked about his thoughts on his players as a whole, particularly starting quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver AJ Brown.

The emphasis was particularly on Brown, who many are claiming cost the Eagles the game. Still, Sirianni stood by his players, deeming their miscues as out of the ordinary.

“He’s got the best hands I ever seen. The amount of catches he’s made. When you get as many targets as he does, you’re going to have some drops. Not ever using an excuse, but the ball moves differently in the wind. I thought Jalen did a good job of cutting the wind a lot of times, but yeah, we had some uncharacteristic drops,” Sirianni was quoted as saying.
