Accountability Claim By Mike Vrabel Puts Spotlight Back On Dianna Russini As X Account Gets Deleted

Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel seem not to have their stories set. While both first claimed that their being together at a luxurious hotel in Arizona was a coincidence, and that the pictures of them hugging and holding hands meant nothing, the Patriots’ head coach has now changed his stance on the whole situation.

Vrabel’s first reaction to the controversy was that it was “laughable,” and he said the pictures misinterpreted an innocent interaction between the two.

Russini also claimed that she was on a girls’ trip and that at the time of their hangout, more people were present there. However, none of those alleged friends came out to show proof of being there.

After Vrabel came out to talk to the press before the 2026 NFL Draft and said that his comment about the situation being ‘laughable’ was just a way of protecting his family, and that he didn’t mean to be dismissive, the spotlight goes back on Russini, as she still hasn’t come out with the truth.

Soon after Vrabel’s press conference, fans couldn’t find her account on X, the same one where she posted her official resignation letter from The Athletic.

Mike Vrabel Explains Decision To Skip NFL Draft Day 3 Amid Dianna Russini Cheating Scandal

Earlier today, it was announced that Vrabel has decided to skip the 2026 NFL Draft Day 3 because he plans to seek counselling. Vrabel said he wants to be the best father and husband for his family, and being with them and seeking help to make the situation better is the way to go for him.

“My actions didn’t meet my standard … my family needs me this weekend,” Vrabel said. “I take accountability for my actions and the actions that caused the distraction to the people that I care most about, my family, this football team, this organization, and the fans. My previous actions don’t meet the standard that I hold myself to,” he added.

Both Vrabel and Russini are married to other people and have two kids each. The Patriots head coach married his wife Jennifer in 1999, while the popular NFL reporter married her spouse in 2020.
