Mike Tomlin Net Worth: Breaking Down Former Steelers HC’s Salary, Contract, and Career Earnings

The Mike Tomlin era at Pittsburgh has come to an end after 19 seasons and a Super Bowl victory. The coach walked away after a 30-6 defeat at the hands of the Houston Texans on Monday night. Tomlin will become one of the hottest commodities in the coaching market, with only one other Super Bowl-winning champion available, John Harbaugh.

Tomlin is under contract with the Steelers through the 2027 season, with the agreement valued at $50 million. He earned approximately $16.67 million a year, according to Sportico, making him one of the top three highest-paid NFL coaches. He has a net worth of $40 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

It’s important to note that, while he was hired through the 2027 season, the Steelers included a team option that could be exercised in March 2026. Because he resigned, the team retains coaching rights, and the Steelers could negotiate compensation.
