Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons’ brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., recently commented on Alyssa Thomas’ suspension over an alleged cheap shot against Caitlin Clark.
The incident happened in the second quarter of the Phoenix Mercury’s 111-109 victory over the Indiana Fever on Wednesday. During a loose-ball scramble, Thomas’ fist was on top of Clark’s throat. No foul was called on the floor at the time, leaving Fever head coach Stephanie White frustrated. She described the play as “egregious” and “utterly disrespectful.” The play was upgraded to a Flagrant Foul 2 after postgame review.
After reviewing the play again, the WNBA has decided to suspend Thomas for one game, stating that the Mercury star “recklessly made contact” with Clark’s throat area.
Upon hearing the suspension, Terrence Parsons sounded off on Friday, tweeting:
“This wasn’t egregious.”
It seems Micah Parsons’ brother wasn’t happy with the WNBA’s decision to suspend Thomas over that play against Clark.
Micah Parsons’ Brother Has Only One Wish After LaMelo Ball Was Added by Minnesota
The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled a blockbuster on Thursday by trading for Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball and Josh Green. The Timberwolves sent Naz Reid, a first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps and three second-round picks to the Hornets.
After flirting with the playoffs in the last five seasons, the Timberwolves might be up for a deep run next postseason. During this stretch, they made the Western Conference finals twice but have come up short of an NBA Finals appearance.
Now, with Ball added, the Timberwolves have made a big statement in the conference, increasing their chances.
Micah Parsons’ brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., is excited about this deal, but he feels that the starting rotation could be much better if it were Karl-Anthony Towns, who just became an NBA champion with the New York Knicks, in place of Rudy Gobert.
“Is there a better 1-2 with McDaniel? I love it if only they had Kat instead of Gobert,” Terrence wrote on X.
Towns played for the Timberwolves from 2015 to 2024. His postseason shortcomings eventually became the reason behind his trade to the Knicks in October 2024. The Timberwolves received Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, Keita Bates-Diop and a future first-round pick in a three-team trade that also involved the Hornets. Towns redeemed himself with great performances in the 2026 NBA Finals, but unfortunately for the Timberwolves, they came for the team in New York instead of Minnesota.
