Malik Nabers Injury Update: Jaxson Dart’s WR1 Shares Major Rehab News

Second-year wide receiver Malik Nabers was in for a big sophomore season. Then he suffered a season-ending ACL tear on September 28, 2026 at MetLife Stadium that cut his season short.

Nabers shown as a rookie a season ago, recording 109 receptions for 1,204 yards, and seven receiving touchdowns. In just four games played this season, Nabers had 18 receptions for 271 yards and two touchdowns. His season ended as he landed awkwardly on his right knee while attempting to catch a deep pass playing against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Nabers sat out the remainder of the 2025-2026 season, but there’s good news regarding his rehab.

Per ESPN NFL Nation reporter Jordan Raanan, who covers the New York Giants, Nabers told him his rehab has been “phenomenal.” Raanan noted that Nabers did indeed have a full meniscus repair in addition to the ACL surgery that he had in March.

Last month, Giants General Manager Joe Schoen said that the hope is to have Nabers back by training camp. His return could be delayed with the additional meniscus repair.

    Latest on Cam Skattebo’s Injury

Malik Nabers wasn’t the only young offensive star that the New York Giants lost prematurely last season. Rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a season-ending dislocated ankle in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and immediately was ruled out for the remainder of the season.

He had surgery shortly after the injury in which NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport called a “success.” Rapoport also reported that Skattebo’s recovery time should be 4-6 months and he should be ready for offseason activities with the Giants.

Skattebo finished his rookie season rushing for 410 yards, five rushing touchdowns, and caught 24 receptions for 207 yards and two receiving touchdowns.

New head coach John Harbaugh will have the luxury of working with some young offensive talent in Nabers, Skattebo, and second-year quarterback, Jaxson Dart.
