Kansas City Chiefs 7-Round Mock Draft: Full Round-by-Round Picks for 2026 NFL Draft

For the first time in a long time, the Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs and this has resulted in them getting a top 10 pick in this year’s NFL draft. Throughout all seven rounds, the Chiefs have a total of seven picks, and the question is, who will they choose?

There are a total of 257 picks in this draft, which means not everyone might get picked. The Chiefs have some real chances to get some possible superstars as well as some possible sleepers, and they have the No. 9, 40, 74, 109, 148, 169, and 176 picks to get them. The team also needs to fill some positions and they may use their picks for that.

2026 Kansas City Chiefs 7-Round Mock Draft: Who Will They Pick?

Round 1, No 9: Rueben Bain Jr. (Miami, Edge)

The Chiefs might also target Arizona Sun Devils wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, as the team seems to be interested in him as well. However, they already have a very good wide receiver room and using the No. 9 pick on a position that they are already good at would be a waste. However, Kansas City is a bit lacking on defense right now, and a good edge like Bain could patch up those holes from last season.

Round 2, No. 40: Caleb Banks (Florida, Defensive Lineman)

Much like with their No. 9 pick, the Kansas City Chiefs could also use this for wide receiver Germie Bernard from Alabama, but a player from that position is what they need right now and they need a better defense. This is why they could likely go for Caleb Banks more.

Round 3, No. 74: Darrell Jackson Jr. (Florida State, Defensive Tackle)

The Chiefs need to bolster their defenses, and they are lacking in the defensive tackle a bit. The best they could get at No. 74 is the Seminoles’ Darrell Jackson Jr., who had been very effective back in Florida State.

Round 4, Pick 109: Jalon Kilgore (South Carolina, Defensive Back)

For this draft, the Kansas City Chiefs may employ a more defensive approach and they could get a good defensive back from South Carolina named Jalon Kilgore, who is a bit underrated and may fly under the radar for many teams.

Round 5, No. 148: Joe Royner (Cincinnati, Tight End)

A tight end from Cincinnati? That sounds a bit like Travis Kelce. However, it is projected that Kelce will be retiring soon and he may need to pass the position down to an heir, and why not get a tight end from his alma mater to do so?

Round 5, No. 169: Jakobe Thomas (Miami, Safety)

They are getting this pick from the LA Rams and they could use it to double dip on the Canes, taking safety Jakobe Thomas who could also be part of their special teams unit.

Round 5, Pick 176: Aiden Fisher (Indiana, Linebacker)

The Chiefs also need to bolster their offensive line a bit, and getting one fresh off a dominant championship run with the Hoosiers could be big. Fisher is not the biggest one out there, but he has been described to be a crafty and scappy one.
