“Here We Come”: Jonathan Owens’ Wife Simone Biles Drops Straight-Forward Reaction To Surprising Colts Move

Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles are one of the most well-known couples in football. The journeyman linebacker has spent the last three years in the northern Midwest, and his stay will continue. However, the linebacker will be joining a different team after wrapping a two-year run with the Chicago Bears.

Owens was signed by the Indianapolis Colts, signalling a move for the linebacker and Biles. Biles reacted to the news on social media with pride in a post to her Instagram story on Friday, responding to the NFL’s Instagram announcement.

“no friday the 13th scaries here,” she posted. “So proud of you baby. Indy, here were come.”

Biles included a white heart emoji, seemingly in line with the while and blue colors of the Colts.

Biles is 29 and has retired from gymnastics, leaving Owens, 30, as the professional athlete at the highest level of the two.

Jonathan Owens’ Contract Situation Signals Outlook With Colts

According to Spotrac, Owens’ deal is for one season and is set to conclude after the 2026 season. As such, unless Owens makes a clear mark while in Indianapolis in short order, he will be in a similar position 12 months from now.

At 30 years old, many safeties have managed to land multi-year deals or at least one-year extensions in NFL history. As such, Owens has reason for hope. However, he will need to contend with Daniel Scott and Cam Bynum, the two incumbent safeties already in place in Indianapolis.

Scott might be Owens’ best chance at carving out a long-term spot on the roster. Scott’s 2025 season was defined by injuries, which could open the door to Owens if the incumbent safety is unable to play at any point. Even a short absence could be all it takes for Owens to break through.

Of course, Biles fans and NFL fans will have reason to keep an eye on a potential starting competition in July and August to get a better idea of what’s in store for Owens this season.
