“All This To Lose In The Divisional Round”: NFL World Reacts To Aaron Donald Potentially Coming Out Of Retirement

Nearly two years after stepping away from the game, former Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald is reportedly considering making a comeback.

According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, there is “a lot of momentum” building toward Donald potentially coming out of retirement and rejoining the Rams. The Rams already added two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett this offseason, so having Donald on the team would only strengthen their position in the league.

While some fans were excited about the possibility of him returning, others were far more skeptical.

One fan dismissed the growing hype, writing: “All this to lose in the divisional round is crazy.”

“Donald coming back would break the league in half,” one wrote.

“I promise you Aaron you don’t wanna come out of retirement to lose to the Hawks in the NFC Championship game,” another joked.

Others questioned whether the comeback rumors were being exaggerated.

“Just because he has a % to come back doesn’t mean he is, this is all lies,” one wrote.

Several fans also pointed out that Donald has been away from the NFL for an extended period and wondered whether he would immediately return to his dominant form.

“If he comes back I ain’t watching football this year. Just give the Rams the trophy,” another wrote.

Aaron Donald Return Rumors Gain Traction

Schefter recently revealed that Donald has floated the idea of returning to Los Angeles as training camp approaches.

“The idea here is, Donald himself has floated that he could potentially return to Los Angeles,” Schefter said. “He’s thinking about it. But where else, right now, would Aaron Donald be more wanted, more celebrated, more respected than in the Rams locker room, where Myles Garrett is already waiting for him?

“Again, no decision [yet] from Aaron Donald, and we’ll see where the two sides can get it done. But there seems to be a lot of momentum to the idea that this is certainly possible,” he added.

J.J. Watt also weighed in on the situation.

“Aaron Donald is one of the greatest players in the history of the game,” Watt said. “What are you gonna do if him and Myles Garrett are on the same field together? I can completely understand why he would be considering playing”

For now, no official decision has been made. Donald remains retired, and the Rams continue preparing for training camp. But with speculation continuing to grow, the possibility of one of the NFL’s greatest defenders returning to the field is something we will be watching closely in the coming weeks.
