Jaxson Dart Names Best NFL WR, But Makes Different Claim for Ja’Marr Chase

New York Giants starting quarterback Jaxson Dart recently revealed who he considers the best in specific positions within the current NFL landscape. On Tuesday, Jan. 13, Dart featured in a video posted by football reporter Dov Kleiman on his official X/Twitter account. The young talent was being interviewed on the “Deep Cut” podcast.

Host Victor “VicBlends” Fontanez asked Dart who he thinks is the best wide receiver in the league currently and who he’d want to pair up with if given a chance. Dart named his Giants teammate, standout Malik Nabers, as the best, but said that he wouldn’t mind the idea of Cincinnati Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase joining their roster.

“ That is active? I mean, I got the best receiver in the league on my team. Let’s make that clear right now. I got the best receiver in the league on my team. But other than Malik, I think I got to get like the LSU guys together, like I got to get Ja’Marr out there for sure. That would be fire,” Dart shared.

Dart is coming off a 2025-26 NFL campaign in which he spent his first year in the professional league with newly-minted coach Mike Kafka’s Giants. The former Ole Miss Rebels star was drafted into the NFL by New York with the 25th pick in the first round of the 2025 Draft. Despite not getting into postseason play, Dart managed to help the Giants finish with an overall record of 4-13 and as the fourth seed in the NFC East.

Both Malik Nabers And Ja’Marr Chase Come From The LSU Tigers Program

As pointed out by Jaxson Dart, one of the primary reasons why he feels that Malik Nabers and Ja’Marr Chase would form a formidable duo is that they both come from the LSU Tigers program.

Nabers spent three years in college, all of which were at LSU, before declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft. For Chase, he had a similar route but came before Nabers as he played in college from 2018 to 2020.
