Brandon Aiyuk’s attempts to manufacture a move to the Washington Commanders don’t seem to be going well. After a series of videos showing him wanting the switch, some inside information from a former NFL player suggests the move may not be happening.
TJ Houshmandzadeh spoke on the “Speakeasy” podcast about there being a “zero percent chance” that Aiyuk was going to move to the Washington Commanders, putting a dent in his attempts to get traded.
“Aiyuk is done. It’s over. Stick a fork in him. There is zero percent chance that he is with the Commanders now. The other day I was like ‘eh,’ I ain’t eh no more. I am certain and it sucks because he’s so young and talented,” Houshmandzadeh said.
Brandon Aiyuk has been posting regularly on social media, slamming the San Francisco 49ers and trying to get a move to the Washington Commanders, but it seems like the Commanders won’t bite.
Adam Schefter Unconvinced About Brandon Aiyuk Moving to the Commanders
Insider Adam Schefter had something similar to say about Brandon Aiyuk’s potential move to the Washington Commanders, suggesting it may not happen.
“Does this guy even want to play?” Schefter said on his podcast on ESPN.
“I can’t answer that. Only Brandon Aiyuk can. But I can tell you that teams have raised that question.
“I honestly believe that he’s scared off teams like Washington. I think they are looking at these social media posts—repeated social media posts—where he is blasting the Niners, where he’s criticizing Jayden Daniels; they are saying, ‘Is this the kind of guy that we want to bring in right now and have as a part of our franchise?’ And my guess, more often than not, would be ‘no.’”
Aiyuk’s future is still in doubt, but we may have a final answer very soon.
