“Dont Cancel Me”: Isaiah Likely’s Wife Shares Snippets From Heartwarming Celebration Of Giants TE’s NFL Journey

Former Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely is joining the New York Giants in this free agency. He will be reuniting with his former head coach, John Harbaugh at New York, and is easily one of the most talented tight ends available in this free agency.

Last season was probably one of the worst starts to his four-season career. He missed the season’s first three games with a small fracture in his right foot and finished with career lows in receptions (27), receiving yards (307), and touchdowns (1).

Though Likely has landed a great opportunity, his wife made sure to make him feel good about entering free agency and playing four good years of football, warming up for a long NFL career. Melanie Likely went out shopping to buy flowers, balloons, and fried chicken to celebrate her husband’s entering free agency and did so in the most adorable way possible.

First, Melanie went out to buy flowers, getting her husband daisies and tulips, which symbolize new beginnings. She grabbed some other essentials, such as tape, on the way, before finally heading home and setting things up. After reaching home, she decorated the place with balloons that said “Free Agency” alongside the flowers she had gotten.

Next came the big reveal – a box of fried chicken ice cream. Melanie says Isaiah Likely loves fried chicken, but had some words to say in the caption to stay extra careful. She wrote,

“istg he asked for it… don’t cancel me 💔.”

Isaiah Likely was very much surprised and pleased to see all that was waiting for him back home. In the final frame of the reel, Likely seems to be enjoying munching on the fried chicken ice cream his wife got for him. In the comments of Melanie’s post, Likely wrote, “The EXPERIENCE 😂🤍” validating the thoughtful gesture of his wife.

Isaiah Likely and Melanie Guevera have been reportedly dating since 2022 and tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at San Francisco City Hall in July 2025. Melanie shared snaps of their wedding on Instagram with the caption ” ’til death do us part.”

How well will Isaiah Likely fit with the Giants?

Isaiah Likely is a great fit for the Giants on paper. He arrives in East Rutherford expected to make an immediate impact alongside new quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart shares a similar dual-threat ability with Likely’s former QB Lamar Jackson, which could be to his advantage. The familiarity with a mobile, dynamic QB should help Likely settle in quickly.

He filled in Baltimore’s TE1 for six game sin 2024 when Mark Andrews was injured and finished with 322 receiving yards and five touchdown catches. This proves that Likely can handle a featured role when called upon. Now, adding another 740 years after the catch across four seasons and 15 total touchdowns, the second most by any Ravens player since 2022, the Giants have bagged a proven, athletic weapon in the passing game.

Likely’s history with head coach John Harbaugh should give him a slight edge in the Giants’ pecking order. However, there is no definitive answer on how he will split reps with Theo Johnson, who had a breakout second year and was in line to become the Giants’  TE1 before Likely arriving. Either way, having two capable tight ends is a good problem to have, and Likely’s signing instantly upgrades a position that needed a jolt.
