Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice sparked controversy by posting an ad for what appears to be a gaming app that pays players to play.
“Not even gonna lie, the DMs I been getting about the app I put you on is wild… for my people who missed I’ve been locked in w this app that’s paying yall to play games on ur phone. I thought it was fake at first but it actually pays and it’s extra easy money if you’re already on your phone playing games. The secret is, the more games you play, the more you earn.”
NFL aggregator Dov Kleiman shared a screenshot of Rice’s Instagram story and accused the receiver of scamming his followers.
Fans were quick to jump in and slam the wide receiver, with a few even asking Kansas City ownership to drop him from the team.
“Rashee Rice is toxic to the locker room with all of his legal woes .. he’s obviously a guy who struggles with the difference between right and wrong .. KC Chiefs have to ask themselves, is he really worth the headaches,” said one person.
“Dude a millionaire and still scamming people? 😭,” added one fan.
“Rashee Rice out here pushing that “get paid to play games” app like it’s the real deal 😂 Fans calling it a scam and saying he’s broke AF. Chiefs might wanna rethink this one… 🤦♂️💀” said another commenter.
“Lawyers aren’t cheap, I get it Rashee,” one fan joked.
“One should always do their homework before clicking any links.,” one person pointed out.
“Rasher Rice went from dropping passes to dropping crypto scams like it’s his new route tree,” another fan wrote.
Along with his Instagram Story, Rashee Rice also attached a link to download the app.
Lawsuit Alleges Rashee Rice Battered His Ex GF
Rashee Rice is also facing a lawsuit from his ex, Dacoda Jones, who is seeking over $1 million. She accused the wide receiver of strangling her in December 2023 and alleged that he often “grabbed, choked, strangled, pushed, thrown, scratched, hit, and headbutted” her.
The lawsuit noted that she has suffered “bleeding, swelling, bruising and other pain and physical injury” as a result of being assaulted by Rice. The Chiefs and the NFL are already aware of the issue and are reviewing the allegations.
