Brian Daboll had the second half of the 2025 season off after he was ousted from the New York Giants in a lost season. However, the former head coach won’t appear to be out of work much longer.
According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter in a Tuesday X report, Brian Daboll is set to join the AFC South if he doesn’t join the AFC West first.
“ESPN sources: The Titans are now set to hire former Giants head coach Brian Daboll as their offensive coordinator, contingent upon him not getting the Raiders head coaching job,” Schefter posted.
So, it appears Daboll will have a home in 2026. NFL fans split into two camps over the news, with most interpreting the report as highly likely that he will end up with Tennessee. A slim majority of fans were against the move.
“Poverty to more poverty,” one fan posted.
“TITANS will forever be poverty.” another
responded.
“rip their season,” one added.
More fans reacted. Some were excited about the news, but others were less than thrilled.
“Thats one way to go nowhere,” one fan
assessed.
“CAM WARD YOU ARE SAVED,” another declared.
“Bet he’ll spice up their offense for sure!” one hoped.
Daboll’s Giants managed to be relevant on offense in 2025, finishing 13th in average yards per game, fourth in rushing yards per game, and 17th in scoring offense. Now, he’ll hope to bring over the rushing average to a franchise that was built on the running game with Derrick Henry.
Brian Daboll’s Titans Set To Turn Attention To Next Offseason Phase
The Tennessee Titans’ coaching room is starting to take shape, which means the franchise can start to think about the next phase of building the team: the roster. As a team coming off a three-win season, free agents are not likely to line up to join the franchise.
However, armed with one of the top picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll’s units are in for a facelift. Tennessee has the fourth overall pick, which gives plenty of opportunity to take one of the best players on the board to pair with Cam Ward or beef up the team’s defense.
Daboll and Saleh will need to agree with general manager Mike Borgonzi in the coming months on what the team needs and which side of the ball will get the biggest investment.
