There’s no other way to put this. Mike Vrabel is in trouble with reports of his relationship with NFL reporter Dianna Russini. The head coach of the New England Patriots has found himself embroiled in a controversy that he would much rather away from.
But as was expected, others have jumped on the bandwagon, and one such individual is Emmanuel Acho. The FS1 analyst has now suggested that Vrabel’s wife, Jen, may be behind the counseling message.
“I think Mike Vrabel is seeking counseling because the apology has to be louder than the disrespect,” Acho said. “If you are going to embarrass me and your kids loudly, then you are going to apologize to me and your kids loudly. That is why in his statement he said ‘I’m doing this for my wife, my kids and players.’ He started with wife and kids. I think the wife is like ‘let this apology be as loud as the perceived disrespect'”.
Married to Mike since 1999, Jen Vrabel is undoubtedly fuming at the current situation and Acho may have made a very telling point.
Mike Vrabel will miss Day 3 of the draft
After it emerged that there was definitely some sort of relationship with Dianna Russini, Mike Vrabel was forced into giving a public address of the situation via a press conference where he spoke about the “difficult situation” he finds himself in.
Furthermore, Vrabel has confirmed he won’t be around for Day 3 of the draft as he seeks counseling in what is a difficult time in his personal life.
“As I said the other day, I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them. In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend,” Vrabel said.
He added:
“This is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them. I have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be. This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result.”
