Vinod Khosla Hopes To Build On What The Estate Of Paul G. Allen Is Leaving The Seattle Seahawks With
Paul G. Allen and his family had been the owners of the Seattle Seahawks since 1997, purchasing the franchise for $194 million from then-owner Ken Behring. Allen passed away in 2018 at the age of 65-years-old, and his sister, Jody, has since taken ownership of the team. Given that the Allen family has transformed the Seahawks into one of the most well-respected NFL franchises, Vinod Khosla hopes he can continue this trend in a statement on X/Twitter.
“We are honored to be entrusted as the next stewards of the Seattle Seahawks. We look forward to building on the winning legacy Paul Allen created and to earning the trust of the Seahawks organization and fans everywhere,” Khosla was quoted as saying.
Despite the agreement, the sale of the Seahawks to Khosla’s ownership group is still subject to approval by the NFL in the coming months.
