Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba‘s coronation night may have been overshadowed by a mishap by the famous comedian, Druski. On Thursday, Feb. 5, the annual NFL Honors was held and Smith-Njigba won the Offensive Player of the Year award.
However, during his trophy presentation, it was Druski who was given the task of presenting him with the award. Druski ended up mispronouncing his name.
NFL fans online trolled Druski for the mishap.

Bro said it like he was allergic to vowels. JSN still catching everything…Including strays 😭🔥,” one fan wrote with a trio of emojis.“Bro been waiting to say that,” another fan said.
“Errybody cringed at it,” a fan shared.
Other X users started to question Druski’s credibility as a personality, comedian, and host during events that may entail more serious matters.
“Who even is that dude?,” one fan questioned.
“So what exactly does Druski do?,” another fan posted.
“Bro was fighting for his life trying to pronounce that name 😭,” a fan pointed out with a laughing emoji.
Nevertheless, Smith-Njigba’s efforts were not in vain. He joined a small group of Seahawks who have won the award, including 2005 MVP Shaun Alexander.
Smith-Njigba led the NFL with 1793 receiving yards on 119 receptions, a franchise record.
Druski Posted His Whole Mispronunciation Sequence On His Instagram Account
Soon after the 2026 NFL Honors, Druski posted the entire clip of him mispronouncing Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s name on Instagram.
Druski also included a caption for the post, writing:
“NOBODY TOLD ME HOW TO PRONOUNCE “Jaxon Smith-Njigba” 😂😂😭😭😭😭😭 CONGRATS THOUGH!,” with several emojis as reactions flooded his comment section.
