On Sunday, Daily Mail’s Russ Weakland and James Cohen shared an article on the Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel cheating scandal. The NFL insider and the New England Patriots coach came under heavy criticism after photos of them spending time together at a private resort in Sedona were leaked by Page Six last month.
The article quoted an anonymous source close to Russini and her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, discussing the implications of this scandal for their marriage.
“Her husband has felt sidelined for a long time, and this controversy might be what pushes things to a breaking point,” the source said.
“At the same time, he’s dealing with embarrassment, still cares about her, And would want to find some ways to fix things if he can. The emasculation has taken a toll though.”
Following this report, radio host Jared Stillman offered straightforward advice to Dianna Russini’s husband.
“Take her back, and none of your friends will have respect for you,” Stillman said. “I don’t even know if your family will have respect for you. How could you possibly take her back. She’s had an affair since before you got married which has lasted your entire marriage.
“You can’t take her back. You cannot do that. When it comes to Dianna, Dianna is clearly just underneath a mountain of S**t. Her career, for the most part, is over. She’s a National Embarrassment. … Now, everybody looks at you, across this country, as if you are the biggest victim. If you take her back, you will be miserable for the rest of your life. I’m convinced of it.”
Dianna Russini married Kevin Goldschmidt in 2020. They have two kids, sons Michael (born 2020) and Joey (born 2022).
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye on the Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini scandal
Last month, after the NFL draft, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye spoke to 7News Boston about the Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini scandal.
“We’re here for coach, we love coach,” Maye said. “What he does for us, what he’s done for us this past year, you can’t speak into words.
“Thankful he’s our head coach. KNowing he’s dealing with some Stuff off the field and out of the coaching world, but we’re here for him and I know he’s gonna come back.”
In his first season with the Patriots, Vrabel helped the team win its first AFC championship since 2018. However, they lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
