Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was supposed to get married to his fiance, Sarah Jane Ramos. However, the couple have called their wedding off about a “blowup argument” they had during a trip to the Bahamas. The reason for this is apparently a prenup.
Reports indicated that it was Sarah Jane who called the wedding off while the two were doing their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas. They were supposed to have a destination wedding in Italy, but TMZ is reporting that their relationship is now “beyond repair.”
Ramos reportedly did not want to sign their prenuptial agreement until her lawyer had read it. Talks between the two sides eventually broke down after months of negotiation, as Ramos reportedly wanted more financial security beyond the standard terms, leading to their heated argument in the Bahamas. A TMZ source noted that the prenup was restrictive.
“The prenup wasn’t very strict,” the source said. “Everyone basically kept whatever they had before the marriage. It was pretty straightforward.”
Dak Prescott had been dating Ramos long before he signed a massive four-year, $240 million deal with the Cowboys. However, they had gotten engaged after that deal, and Ramos had been a big supporter of him throughout his professional career.
Even though the two had an explosive fight, the breakup was reportedly a mutual decision. The two started dating in 2023, with Dak Prescott soon signing that massive deal with the Cowboys a few months later. They then got engaged later on in October 2024, with the two planning to hold their wedding in Italy, which was supposed to happen next month.
What Is Next For Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos?
With their destination Italian wedding now officially off, the two did agree on one thing, and that is to coparent their two children. They have two daughters, Margaret Jane Rose and Aurora Rayne Prescott, and they are the two persons who are most affected by this breakup.
While the relationship is now completely broken, the two children, who are now 2 years old and 10 months old, respectively, are still connecting them. However, details of their arrangement are likely going to be kept private.
