Veteran kicker Graham Gano will be heading out of the New York Giants as injuries take their toll on the 39-year-old, but it appears he has the support of the Giants fans as they appreciate all the effort he put in for the team.
Gano took to social media platform, X, to speak about how he wished he could do more, but leaves the Giants with sweet memories knowing he gave it his all.
“I wish I could have given you the healthy version of me for all 6 years NY. Not a single regret though. I gave it all, everyday, Go Big Blue,” Gano wrote on X.
Fans flooded the comments with plenty of support for the kicker, highlighting just how fond they are of him despite him leaving the franchise.
Gano’s Time at the New York Giants Has Been Riddled With Injuries
Graham Gano joined the New York Giants in 2020, but after three successful seasons with the franchise, he played just eight games in 2023 as his injury problems began, and just 15 games were played by the kicker across the next two years, as groin and hamstring trouble began.
With new head coach John Harbaugh now involved, change as in the offing, and Gano was unfortunately released by the Giants as fresh blood is being preferred. At 39, it certainly appears that a competitive future in the NFL is looking bleak for Gano.
