Is Brock Purdy Playing Week 18? Status Update on 49ers QB Ahead of Seahawks Matchup

Brock Purdy’s San Francisco 49ers will play the Seattle Seahawks at home on Saturday. Both teams have qualified for the playoffs, but the winner will secure the NFC West title.

The 49ers are 12-4 and are second in the NFC West. The Seahawks are 13-3, and both teams are on a six-game winning streak.

Heading into the game, there are questions about Brock Purdy’s availability against the Seahawks. The quarterback has had a late-season surge, recording nearly 300 yards in each of the last three games against the Titans, Colts, and Bears.

So, is Brock Purdy playing in Week 18? The answer is yes. Purdy is healthy and hasn’t been on injury reports in over a month. He featured in all their practice sessions leading up to the game and will lace up for the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.

Purdy missed six weeks of action due to a turf toe injury he aggravated in Week 4. He returned to action in a 41-22 win against the Arizona Cardinals in November.

Meanwhile, George Kittle, whose availability for the game is also in question due to the ankle injury he suffered in Week 16, is expected to play. Kettle exited the Week 16 matchup against the Colts in the third quarter. He was left out in Week 17 against the Chicago Bears, but is expected to take the field against Seattle as the 49ers eye the number one seed.

Can Brock Purdy’s 49ers Clinch Division?

If the San Francisco 49ers defeat the Seattle Seahawks today, they will clinch the NFC West title and secure the number one seed in the NFC playoff bracket. The losing team will drop to a wild-card spot and land the 5th or 6th seed.

In a few hours, we’ll get to know about the team’s official inactive list. Until then, it seems like the San Francisco 49ers will enter the game with a healthy roster.
