Running back Zonovan “Bam” Knight, signed a reserve/future contract with the Arizona Cardinals on January 7, 2025. He made the Cardinals’ initial roster and began the season as a backup to James Conner and Trey Benson. But by Week 4, both the Cardinals lead bacs were placed on injured reserve.
After Conner and Benson were placed on injured reserve, Knight had his role in the backfield increased. He’s carried the ball 10+ times in three of the last four games and has 51 total touches in that span.
has been active for seven games and has missed a total of two games this season.

Knight suffered an ankle injury in last Sunday’s fourth quarter loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He was limited in practice all week, but yesterday, ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter reported that he would be in line to play this week.
On the season, Knight has 48 carries for 157 yards and two rushing touchdowns. In the receiving game, he has eight receptions for 65 yards.
Cardinals vs. 49ers Preview
Heading into Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Arizona Cardinals enter with a 4-6 record. The 49ers enter 6-4, and will have starting quarterback Brock Purdy back for the game. The Cardinals are still without starting quarterback Kyler Murray, as backup Jacoby Brissett gets another start.
As of right now, the 49ers are -3.5 point favorites. Despite having a few more wins, this doesn’t come as a surprise as divisional games are usually played tightly.
The game will be played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona with a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. A win for either team is pivotal as both the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams lead the division with 7-2 records.
