The Seattle Seahawks will host the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field for the second NFL Divisional Round matchup today. The 49ers have battled through injuries for the entire season and have lost some key players along the way.
The Seahawks, on the other hand, have a comparatively healthier roster. Heading into Seattle’s home game, the 49ers will be at a disadvantage for multiple reasons.
However, Kyle Shanahan has proved that even with all the injuries, he can still manage to win games with his team. Tonight’s matchup will be another test of his revered coaching ability and player rotation.
Going against the Seahawks, who have been arguably the best team in the NFC, isn’t going to be easy. With most of their players set to be available and ready for the game, Seattle will present the 49ers with their strongest challenge so far.

Sam Darnold’s Availability for the NFL Divisional Round Matchup
During the postseason, players often push themselves to their limits just to ensure that they step on the field for their teams. We’ve witnessed players playing through injuries and other difficulties as they understand what’s at stake.
Darnold has made it clear that he expects to be in the lineup against the 49ers. After Thursday’s practice, he stated that he believes he’ll be ready for the Saturday game.
“I feel good,” Darnold SAID. “In routes on air, I just felt a little something in my oblique. I just didn’t want to push it. It wasn’t the day to push it, so that was it. I came inside, got some rehab, and I feel like I’ll be ready to go for Saturday.”
When asked about the likelihood of him not playing on Saturday, he said it’s probably closer to zero.
