According to the CFN Strength of Schedule, the Nevada 2024 football schedule is the hardest in the Mountain West. While their conference slate is no cakewalk, the Wolf Pack’s non-conference schedule contributes to the program’s difficulty this fall, featuring two reigning conference champions.
They open in Week 0 by welcoming the AAC champion SMU Mustangs, who make their way to the ACC this fall and, therefore, add a Power Five opponent to the Nevada 2024 football schedule. The Wolf Pack then head to the reigning Sun Belt champion Troy Trojans. The Minnesota Golden Gophers add another Power Five opponent to the calendar in Week 3.
Under the 7+1 scheduling agreement with the Pac-12, the Nevada 2024 football schedule features the Oregon State Beavers as part of a four-game Mountain West home slate. The Wolf Pack welcomes the Air Force Falcons, Colorado State Rams, and Fresno State Bulldogs to Reno, with the last game part of a trio of matchups with expected conference contenders.

The other components of that trio ramp up the difficulty for Choate’s team. Road trips to the Boise State Broncos and UNLV Rebels provide the most difficult Mountain West tests while they cross time and space to face the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in late October. The Nevada 2024 football schedule features 13 games, and they may need every one of them to break two wins this fall.
