After former NFL player-turned-analyst Ryan Clark was fired during NFL Live, other ESPN NBA analysts Carlos Boozer, Kendrick Perkins, and others showed their support for him. The now-former ESPN analyst was fired as part of a group layoff that included Karl Ravech and Tom Pelissero. After the firing was announced, Clark shared a post on social media.
On Monday, July 20, the news of Clark’s firing was made public. After the shocking news, the former NFL safety shared a carousel of clips on Instagram, with the caption:
“Before the madness of yesterday, I woke up, got in my Tundra, drove to Planet Fitness, and got to work.
“The rest of the day was eventful, but the journey continues. My peace is with God, and my humility comes from within. I’ll continue to build myself so the world can never strip me of what’s real.
Get moving today y’all! 🙏🏾”
ESPN analyst and former NBA player Carlos Boozer commented, supporting his former colleague:

Analyst Kendrick Perkins also showed his solidarity:

Analyst Caron Butler commented with a clap emoji, while former NBA player Isaiah Thomas shared three checkered flags. Moreover, WNBA’s Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud wrote:
“To bigger and better.”
In the video, Clark was seen doing different sets of exercises in multiple clips. One of those clips was also of his gym, Planet Fitness, and his car. There is still no news about his future.
Carlos Boozer Names The Two Most Difficult Matchups During His Time
Most of Carlos Boozer’s 13-season career went with the Utah Jazz and the Chicago Bulls. He reached the conference finals with both teams, in 2007 with Utah and 2011 with Chicago, but couldn’t win a title. However, he won an Olympic gold medal with the Redeem Team in 2008 and an NCAA championship.
Boozer recently joined Reddit’s Ask Me Anything session and answered a few questions about his playing time. When asked about the two most difficult players he went against during his time, he named two of the best offensive players of all time, Kevin Garnett and Dirk Nowitzki. He said, via the NBA:
“Big Ticket was 7-foot-1 and could do everything. The post-up game, mid-range game, play defense. He was the best defensive big I ever played against. He can guard 1 through 5, and guess what? He let you know about it the whole game, so you had to hear about it.”
Talking about the Dallas Mavericks legend, the former Bulls forward said:
“My matchup was the power forward, so I went against, like, Tim Duncan, Rasheed Wallace, Kevin Garnett, and Ben Wallace. And I’m telling you, Dirk Nowitzki was just as good as all of them. He could shoot a 3, he could go by you. You saw him carry the Dallas Mavericks past the loaded Miami Heat team with the Big 3 in the Finals.”
Carlos Boozer played with some legends, and now his son, Cameron Boozer, who was drafted third overall by the Memphis Grizzlies this year, is set to create his identity in the pro league.
