Warriors vs Timberwolves Player Stats, Timeline (Jan. 26) | 2025-26 NBA Season

The Golden State Warriors faced the Minnesota Timberwolves again on Monday. Golden State, which won 111-85 roughly 24 hours ago, hoped to walk away from Minneapolis with another win. The Dubs headed into the game without multiple key players, including Jimmy Butler (knee), Steph Curry (foot) and  Jonathan Kuminga (knee).

The Dubs’ balanced scoring, led by Brandin Podziemski’s six points, pushed them to an early lead. However, Minnesota closed out the first quarter strong to grab a 21-20 edge. Without Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert led the T-Wolves with seven points and four rebounds in the first 12 minutes.

Minnesota dominated the paint in the second quarter, making 6 of 8 shots in the restricted area. After a seesaw battle in the first period, the home team surged to a 53-38 halftime lead. Gobert and Julius Randle combined for 25 points and 13 rebounds to give the T-Wolves control of the game.

Golden State played better defense in the third quarter, allowing Minnesota just 22 points. However, the Dubs couldn’t capitalize on their stifling defense due to their lack of firepower. Golden State’s 2-for-13 shooting from deep was a key reason it trailed 75-57 before the start of the final quarter.

The Minnesota Timberwolves made the final 12 minutes a comfortable march to the finish line against the Golden State Warriors. Against the Dubs’ depleted roster, the T-Wolves won 108-83. The victory gave Minnesota a 2-1 lead in the season series.
