Warriors Injury Report: Massive De’Anthony Melton Update, Will Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford Return vs Bulls? (Mar. 10)

The Golden State Warriors host the Chicago Bulls on the second night of a back-to-back on Tuesday. The Warriors had several injuries in Monday’s loss to the Utah Jazz. Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford were rested, while Will Richard and Moses Moody were ruled out again.

Meanwhile, De’Anthony Melton, who hasn’t played back-to-backs, was active. The Warriors also welcomed Seth Curry back for the first time since December. The injury situation remains iffy against the Bulls.

Melton, Porzingis and Horford will be active. Melton (knee) will play his first back-to-back, according to Steve Kerr, who announced the decision on Monday. Melton was limited to 20 minutes against the Jazz. He scored 22 points with seven rebounds and two assists. Porzingis (illness) and Horford (toe) are only active for one game in a back-to-back, so after missing Monday’s game, they are expected to return.

Moody and Richard remain day-to-day. Moody is dealing with a wrist injury, while Richard has an ankle injury. Moody was confirmed out for Monday’s game and there’s no update on his return. Richard could be close to returning after being listed as questionable on Monday. The rookie wing last played on Feb. 28 against the Lakers.

Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler round off the Warriors’ injury report. Curry is out with a runner’s knee injury and Butler is out for the season after tearing his ACL on Jan. 19 against the Heat.

Here’s the full Warriors’ injury report:

    Player Status Injury
De’Anthony Melton Available Knee injury management
    Kristaps Porzingis Available Illness
    Al Horford Available Toe injury
    Moses Moody Day-to-day Wrist injury
    Will Richard Questionable Ankle injury
