Jason Whitlock is not new to controversies, and his hatred for the WNBA was recently visible when he spoke about the James family not wanting to send their daughter to the women’s league. He shared his views about the superstar Caitlin Clark and why LeBron James’ wife, Savannah, did not let her daughter play basketball.
In the Los Angeles Lakers’ last road game against the Golden State Warriors, James’ daughter Zhuri James was seen on the court in a practice session with her father. She showcased some slick handles and shooting form, and the media asked about it after the game. LBJ clarified Savannah’s stance on their daughter hooping before the game.
LBJ said that the mother did not want her daughter to play basketball and pursue the WNBA, as she was already into volleyball. NBA analyst Whitlock supported the James family’s decision not to send their daughter to the women’s basketball league. He said:
“LeBron James and Savannah James want no part of sending their daughter into that LGBTQIA+ silent P women’s basketball world. They don’t want her going through with Caitlin Clark is going through. And it would happen.”
Clark has lost major playing time due to injuries in the last season. She was out for most of the last season due to a right groin injury and has received some criticism from fans for a decline in her form.
Whitlock highlighted the same while criticizing the WNBA. He added:
“LeBron makes it clear they are not raising a lesbian. If it was for the fact that female basketball players tend to lean gay, trust me, LeBron would love to have 30 basketball players. I salute LeBron James and Savannah James for doing the right thing there. Keep your daughter out of that until they clean up that mess.”
Whitlock often expresses his honest opinions on his show, Fearless with Jason Whitlock, and criticizes other analysts on their views on basketball.
Jason Whitlock criticizes Atlanta Hawks for celebrating Magic City Club
NBA analyst Jason Whitlock sounded off on the Atlanta Hawks for planning a tribute for one of the most popular strip clubs, Magic City, in Atlanta. However, the decision was heavily criticized by fans and analysts, who believed that collaborating with strip clubs is not ideal for the NBA.
Whitlock said:
“The Atlanta Hawks are honoring the greatest thing their culture has to offer, the infamous Magic City Strip Club. This promotion is symbolic of everything wrong not only with the NBA but with sports and culture in general. Promoting degeneracy and secular values is commonplace and even encouraged by the NBA and the media.”
Jason Whitlock also often criticizes his fellow analyst, Stephen A. Smith, on several occasions, as he recently blasted him for his views on the European players vs. American players debate.
