Rumors that all was not well between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown began when the NBA world noticed the latter’s dip in performance with Tatum in the lineup. The alleged fallout between the two came to light when rumors suggested that Tatum did not appear on Brown’s Twitch livestream for personal reasons. And now, former basketball player Brandon Jennings reignited the feud after Tatum allegedly took a shot at Brown.
Meanwhile, Brown said that Tatum couldn’t make it because of his family and a lack of time. Some analysts suggested that Brown wasn’t ready to play as a second option, but in Philly, he might still not be the first option. Amid this, when Jennings saw Tatum giving a motivational speech to school kids in his offseason time, he believed the Celtics’ forward’s words were targeted at his former teammate.
LeagueAlerts Inc. shared a clip of Tatum’s speech and wrote in the caption:
“Jayson Tatum told kids at his camp that being a leader doesn’t mean knowing it all, and that he doesn’t want to be around someone who acts like they do.”
The post also contained Jennings’ X post that read:
“That’s a shot at Jaylen Brown.”
Next season, while Tatum will now share the court with a veteran in Paul George, who might be all the help he needs on the offense, Brown will be part of a star-studded lineup in Philly.

Besides motivating the kids, Jayson Tatum also took his son, Deuce, to the 2026 WNBA All-Star 3-point shooting contest at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. He was seen during the contest, posing for the camera.
The WNBA wrote on Instagram:
“Jayson Tatum and his son Deuce are here for tonight’s State Farm WNBA 3-Point Contest!”
Tatum now has bigger responsibilities with Brown out of the picture. The franchise has trusted him to lead the team to another title run, though he was out for the majority of last season due to his knee issues after an ACL tear.
