San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder Starting Lineups and Depth Charts Tonight (May 20) | Game 2, 2026 Western Conference Finals

The San Antonio Spurs couldn’t have asked for a better start to the Western Conference Finals. They stole home-court advantage from the Oklahoma City Thunder thanks to Monday’s 122-115 double-overtime victory in Game 1.

Now, the Spurs will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead when they face the Thunder in Game 2 at the Paycom Center on Wednesday night.

Game 1 wasn’t particularly close, as San Antonio dominated physically while Oklahoma City struggled to get anything going offensively. The two teams showed real animosity toward one another, chirping back and forth while playing a very physical brand of basketball.

What was supposed to be a special night for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander turned ugly, as the back-to-back MVP struggled offensively. He shot just 7-of-23 from the field while finishing with 24 points, 12 assists and four turnovers.

It was his worst first-half performance in three years, as he managed only four points on 1-of-5 shooting. The Spurs’ defense did all the right things, constantly putting traffic in front of Gilgeous-Alexander to disrupt his vision and rhythm.

While SGA struggled, the Thunder got major contributions from Alex Caruso, who had an outstanding game with a team-high 31 points. He shot 11-of-19 from the field, including 8-of-14 from three-point range, while adding two rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Jalen Williams, who returned from a six-game absence, also impressed with 26 points. However, the rest of the lineup struggled to make a significant impact whatsoever.

Victor Wembanyama has undoubtedly lived up to expectations. The 22-year-old had another lights-out performance with 41 points and 24 rebounds. The 7-foot-5 Frenchman came up clutch with a pair of dunks late in the game and a logo 3-pointer to steal home court advantage.

Rookie Dylan Harper also impressed in his first playoff start with 24 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and seven steals. Stephon Castle added 17 points and 11 assists, while Devin Vassell finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Julian Champagnie chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Spurs listed De’Aaron Fox as questionable. Fox was in street clothes for Game 1 with an ankle sprain he suffered in Game 6 of the conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is expected to undergo a late medical check before a final decision is made on his status.

If Fox is cleared to play, the rest of the lineup would likely be Victor Wembanyama, Julian Champagnie, Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle.
