LeBron James’ Former Teammate Reveals ‘Gut Feeling’ on Where He’ll Play Next Season

LeBron James’ next destination is the biggest question right now. And social media is abuzz with speculation over the James trade, while he is taking time with the decision. Now, LBJ’s former Miami Heat teammate Mario Chalmers shared his opinion on the team that the forward would join next season.

The Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors are the top prospects for James this offseason, and his former teammate also believes that the superstar forward can join one of the two franchises. Fullcourtpass shared Chalmers’ thoughts on X on July 5:

“I really think it’s between Golden State and Miami just by knowing Bron and being his teammate before and the way he approaches the game. Those are the two spots where I think he has the best chance of winning. I want to say Miami, but I have a gut feeling that it might be Golden State.”

Chalmers also felt that James would prefer the Warriors, even though he wanted his friend to join their former team. Steph Curry and LeBron James are two legends chasing their fifth title in the league, and if they do it together, it will be a big moment for the sport. Moreover, the Heat will also be an enticing place, given they have the Greek Freak.

The Miami Heat’s chances with LeBron James might have taken a hit

LeBron James’ chances of joining the Miami Heat might have taken a hit after his latest plans in Ohio went viral. In a social media post, he was seen enjoying time with his former high school teammates and Cavaliers’ general manager Brandon Weems. Moreover, going back to the Cavs will give him the perfect ending to his storied career.

The Dawgs podcast shared the image on X:

“Just waiting for the official announcement at this point.”

Several sources have suggested that James could go to Cleveland to end his career in a place where he was drafted in 2003. Given his will to join a championship squad, the Cavs would provide that to him. If that gets materialized, Chalmers might not see his wishes fulfilled.
